National Kidney Federation

About us

The NKF is the national Kidney Patient charity in the United Kingdom. The Federation’s aim throughout the UK is to promote the best renal medical practice and treatment, including Organ Donation and Transplantation, and the health of persons suffering from early Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) or Established Renal Failure (ERF). The NKF also supports the related needs of those relatives and friends who care for kidney patients. We provide direct support to all kidney patients and their families in the UK through a dedicated phone Helpline as well as through the work of a team of Advocacy Officers. We also campaign for improvements in the provision of services to kidney patients by working closely with the Department of Health, service providers and Members of Parliament.
