This week is Organ Donation week. NBTA is using this time to highlight the continued needs of black, asian, mixed race and minority ethnic people who are waiting for an organ transplant. Over 1/3 of people waiting for a kidney transplant are from black, Asian and minority ethnic communities. This week, NHSBT will be publishing the annual report focussing on BAME organ donation and transplantation in 2018/19.
