The coordinating voice for Black, Asian, Mixed Race and Minority Ethnic transplant donation

BBC Radio 4 broadcast a programme on ‘The Black Blood Donor Crisis’ earlier this week.

The programme looks at some of the reasons why black, mixed race, and ethnic minority people don’t donate blood, and interviews people about their experiences. It also interviews staff from the Dutch Blood Service about their approach to encouraging black, mixed race, and ethnic minority people to become blood donors.
