The Living Transplant Initiative report is the outcome of work done by a number of BAME community groups and hospitals in increasing living kidney donation in the UK over three years. It provides links to new videos and leaflets on living kidney donation aimed at specific BAME groups and shows how communities can take the lead in getting the message about living kidney donation to targeted communities. This pilot project, managed by the National BAME Transplant Alliance (NBTA) and funded by NHS Blood and Transplant ( NHSBT) shows what worked well, what we learnt and how we can build on this experience for further work.
