A digital tool to promote Living Kidney Transplant among Leicestershire's Hindu community.
This project is targeted mainly at the Hindu and Sikh communities in Leicestershire. The project will involve staff at the University of Warwick, kidney doctors from the community, a community outreach worker, local Hindu and Sikh community representatives, community ambassadors and kidney patients. The first phase will consist of the production of a culturally specific video aimed at the Hindu community and based on behaviour theories. Community ambassadors will be trained in using this resource. The video will be provided to appropriate patients active on the transplant list and further individual support will be provided by the community ambassadors on a targeted basis. This will lead to assessment for suitability for living donation and actual living donation.

Caroline Meyer is Professor of Applied Psychology at WMG, University of Warwick; Affiliate Professor in Mental Health and Wellbeing at Warwick Medical School and holds an honorary post at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust.
She has a strong track record in the field of human behaviour and cognition.
For almost 20 years, she has worked in the fields of mental health and wellbeing. She has recently launched a new research team at WMG, with a focus on the application of psychological theory and techniques to improve both physical and mental health.
