The coordinating voice for Black, Asian, Mixed Race and Minority Ethnic transplant donation

We understand that many people may have questions about whether their faith or beliefs may affect their ability to become an organ donor.

To help increase awareness of organ donation and provide guidance for communicating key themes, messaging booklets have been developed. These were created following a conference held with NHS Blood and Transplant and the National Black, Asian, Mixed Race and Minority Ethnic Transplant Alliance (NBTA) to identify faith-specific messaging guidance.

41 organisations were represented at this conference, including healthcare trusts, voluntary and community sector organisations, universities and faith organisations.

The themes and guided messaging contained in the booklets represent the views of many leading individuals and groups involved in working with ethnic and religious communities in England.
